Golf and Burgers (G&B) sponsors social events by playing a 9-hole golf scramble, followed by dinner. This is an excellent outing to meet new people. We welcome newcomers to the area and those that love to live here.  You do not need to be a member of the POA to join the group.

 

Players: Open to couples, friends and singles. We have about 75 members.

 

Timing: April through October. 2nd and 4th Saturdays shotgun starting at 2 p.m.

 

Format: 9 Hole 4 person scramble, each person contributes 2 drives

 

Golf skills:  All skill levels are welcome and no handicaps are needed.

 

Location: Play at Bella Vista courses and then meet for dinner at a local/nearby restaurant. Non-golfing spouses/significant others are invited to dinner.  They do not need not pay the Registration Fee.

 

Prizes:  We award modest prizes for the lowest scores for the week.  Allen's Food Store sponsors the Closest to the Pin contest for Men and Women.

 

Cost: $10 to join.  Pay at the Kick-off Dinner or on your first date of play.

          $3 per golfer for weekly prizes, end-of-year prizes, and miscellaneous expenses.

          Winners are paid at dinner

 

Hosts: Each week 2 volunteers will be the hosts to collect money and award prizes.
